This XY has occupied the vendors garage and attention for over 20 years and always used as a driver's car. The interior has a genuine GT dash, instruments, steering wheel. Drive train overhauled front to back, strong 351 2V Cleveland, Crane 288 hydraulic cam with performance lifters, springs, retainers, Extractors with stainless 2 1/4 exhaust, Weiand X-Celerator intake with thermal spacer, Holley 750 square bore man choke vac secondary jetted(tuned to suit), 3 core radiator, all fitted new. Toploader fully reconditioned, with new repro shifter (original XY style), new clutch / lightened flywheel / clutch master / slave cylinders (GTHO inverted fit) / stainless braided line. Genuine ford XY 9" diff centre / housing. Original 70's date stamped Globe rims, and all brake cylinders and callipers, wheel bearings overhauled or replaced including booster. New Kings springs on all new Scott Drake front end (control arms, ball joints, bushes). Originally had Gold stripe and Cragar rims, now Black stripe and Globes. All chrome & stainless moulds excellent with various items also replaced (door moulds / clips, rear bumper, GT aerial etc.).
This car is old school quick; starts, stops, drives beautifully and regularly - kept in outstanding condition as a driver's car and frequently enjoyed. Vendor has an enormous file including documentation, photos, and history, covering works / parts / improvements.
