Seller's Description
We purchased this particular car as we wanted a solid (Rust Free) Australian-delivered (not imported) Stag that needed updating, not restoring. We changed the radiator and replaced all the engine hoses with reinforced ones, also changing the thermostat to the high temperature type. This was completed in 2010. The Soft-top and frame needed replacing and this was professionally fitted in March 2011. The roof is a very high quality Black German Mohair with Cream underlining and looks and feels fantastic. The front end suspension bushes, ball joints and track rod ends have also been replaced (2011). Oil and fuel filters have been changed and replaced. Service history - as you can see from the pictures, it has lots, and is very well documented from day one (Australian Commission plate dated December 1976). The Original Triumph Australia log book/service book in the photo is fully stamped from the front to back and there are also many bills/receipts of maintenance carried out on the vehicle throughout its life.
So why are we selling? We are moving to the far north of Queensland soon and old classic cars do not like wet tropical climates right by the sea, and of course the money will also be very handy. Note: All parts that have been replaced on this car have been approved Triumph spares. Also included in the sale are: Official Triumph owners repair manual. An official DVD showing how to maintain/service the vehicle. New fuel filter for next service. New oil filter for next service (Oil and filter changed 4 Months ago) The original steering wheel has been changed to an old-style 3 spoke wooden one and the old radiator and various parts changed are available if you want them. No time wasters please.
