Seller's Description
Original stock standard 205 GTI in very good condition. Over $2501 spent on the car over the last 3 months only through Peugeot specialists, all the hard work is done. Documented service history dating back to the 1st owner. Desirable Australian delivery in Cherry Red with the original 15 inch wheels including the spare. Interior is in fantastic original condition. Downsides: the air conditioning is not functioning and the car has minor dents, scrapes and faded paint in some areas. Car is un-modified down to the original radio.
History of car since delivery in 1989: 1st Owner in Newtown, Sydney purchased from South City Motors in Arncliffe, Sydney. Fully completed service book from 1989 until July 2002. Passed NSW safety inspection certificate January 2003. 2nd Owner registered in Victoria. RWC September 2012. February 2012 repair tachometric relay.
Previous Owner as of July 2015: New continental tyres, front end re-aligned. Driver’s seat re-upholstered. Replaced: driver’s seat belt, blower motor, rear beam assembly, front/rear brake disk rotors and pads, front sway bar links, front wheel bearings, clutch, spark plugs/leads, thermostat and seal. Exhaust manifold/gasket, rear main seal, distributor cap/rotor button, ignition module, tachometric relay, oil pressure switch, engine oil and new filter. Rear disc brakes and new hand brake cable, front callipers rebuilt, left/right drive shafts, alternator rebuilt, changed gearbox oil and coolant. MI 16 Crown wheel/pinion (final drive 4.48). Tie rod ends replaced R/L window seals. Replaced master cylinder, overhauled oil pressure gauge sender replaced. New 205 GTI floor mats x4. Replaced timing belt, water pump, tensioner and flywheel.
Under my ownership since July 2015: proof of receipts of $2501.85 only at Peugeot specialists. Replaced driver’s window and switch, proper 205 GTI steering wheel, dashboard part, alternator. Replaced spark plugs, rotor button and rotor cap. New front windscreen. Replaced catalytic converter + oxy sensor, driver’s seat rails fuel pressure regulator, manifold exhaust bolts, driveshaft inner boot clamp, sealant on oil cooler leak and driveshaft seal. Engine and gearbox degreased, cleaned rear shock absorbers, repair pinhole l/h driveshaft outer boot, replace l/h diff seal, replaced steering rack, refit arms and tie rod ends.
Not very often does 205 GTI come onto the market with lots of work and money spent to keep it running in stock standard condition. Selling due to the purchase of two further classic cars. No time wasters, tyre kickers, swaps or trades. Serious buyers only. Serious buyers call to organise an inspection, price slightly negotiable.
