Just arrived - This 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR is one for the Japanese Car Collectors. The Evo 6 was brought into production in 1998 with a few upgrades. It recieved a larger intercooler, larger oil cooler, and new pistons compared to its 5th generation predecessor. It also recieved some cosmetic styling in the front bumper where the foglights were reduced in sized and moved to the corners for better airflow. The GSR models featured a 5 speed manual transmission, guage pack, Active Yaw Control, Brembo anti-lock brakes, Recaro front bucket and rear seats, auto air conditioner, double DIN audio and power windows. Well known for their accomplishments in Rally Racing, the Evo is runs an all wheel drive system that makes it incredible to handle in the corners. This Evo is also badged as special cold weather model, meaning that the car warms up faster to handle colder climates. It was imported in 2013 and has been with the current owner for the last 5 years in which it has been regularly serviced by Jack and Joes Garage. The original radiator has been upgraded to a Mishimoto radiator to help the car handle Australian weather and Tomei extractors have been fitted. A Lamspeed racing exhaust has also been fitted to the car as well as the door trims being reupholstered, but the black and blue Recaro seats, OZ Racing wheels, Ralliart instrument cluster and mudflaps and a Momo steering wheel were rare factory options. The Bright Blue Pearl paint presents in wonderful original condition, while the rear bumper has been repainted to a matching standard.
