Easily one of the most iconic vehicles of all time no matter where you are in the world. The Volkswagen Beetle was created off the idea that Adolf Hitler wanted a small, economical car that could be easily mass-produced, and it worked. This running and driving rat rod styled Beetle 1500 is an ideal and eye-catching classic that is an Australian delivered example. The Beetle has travelled an indicated 55,769 miles with some receipt history and long NSW rego on custom number plates until 01/09/2026. The Beetle has had the engine changed to a larger 1.6L Twin Port engine which the previous owner advised was rebuilt in July 2019 with a cam upgrade, new carby, and electric points. Disc brakes are fitted all around with the master cylinder and all lines replaced. Europa style chrome bumpers have been fitted front and rear and the interior has been re-trimmed in tan. In the last 10,000km, 5x new tyres were fitted as well as the front and rear wheel bearings, upper and lower ball joints, inner and outer tie-rods, rear axle seals, rear shock absorbers, wipers, and handbrake cable replaced. Additionally, a Sony head unit with Bluetooth and a Pioneer 500w amplifier with Sony mids & tweeters with dual crossovers have also been installed. The roof rack and its accessories are also included in the sale. The Beetle has had some rust repairs cut and welded previously, and there is currently some surface rust present, however, the Beetle overall seems major rust-free now.
