Just arrived - This 1948 Holden FX 48-215 is a beautiful example of an early Holden. The 48-215, colloquially known as the FX, was the first Holden-branded car produced in Australia by GMH. Since then, these early Holdens have only become rarer and more desirable, and this FX is no exception. This car is an older restoration that still presents nicely for its age. Powered by the standard 2.2L 6-cylinder motor and a 3-speed column shift manual transmission, the FXs are renowned for their reliability. This motor was reconditioned and bored out, and has covered roughly 5000 miles since. A new clutch was also fitted, along with the wheel cylinders being overhauled with stainless steel sleeves, and a heavy-duty front sway bar was added. Originally finished in Burnely Cream, the FX received a respray in its factory colour approximately 20 years ago. The green interior is neat and spacious, with modifications to allow the fitting of an aftermarket radio. Overall, this FX presents very well for the age and is the ideal club cruiser for those who desire an early Holden.
