1962 AUSTIN HEALEY 3000 MKII BT7 FACTORY TRIPLE CARBURETTORS The last of the Pre Wind-Up Window Healey-s were the 3000 MKII-s. They were the only model Factory equipped with Triple Carb-s and featured the -New- Vertical Bar, Full Surround Grille and were the shortest run model at 5,096 2+2 and 355 2 Seaters, only the last of these came out with Centre Shift Gearboxes, this is one of those. Its Heritage Certificate shows January 1962 as its date of production and shows it was fully optioned with Wire Wheels, Overdrive Gearbox, Heater, Laminated Windscreen and Adjustable Steering Column. It does have typical non-structural rust needing attention in the floors, sills and lower panels. All rust replacement parts are readily and economically available (made to world-s best standard in Australia). We have had the motor running, very noisy with no exhaust, but it-s a runner. A very desirable car begging for a new lease of life. All this makes this car an excellent choice to restore in terms of rarity and desirability.
