This beautiful 1964 EH Holden Special sedan underwent a full restoration at John Twins Accident Repair Centre in Woolongong four years ago. The body work and the paint work is high quality. The car was in the original paintwork when it started the restoration journey with no signs of prior accident damage. The panels are all original. There was rust in all the doors. The rear doors were re skinned with half door skins and the front doors were patched as the rust was minor. The lower front guards had small patches to each one. The vehicle was stripped to bare metal and repainted in 2 pack in the original colour scheme Kalahari Tan and Fowlers Ivory. The original Hydro-matic box was replaced with a later model Tri Matic unit that was rebuilt at the time of the restoration. The chrome and the mouldings are as new also. The rubber seals through the entire car have all been replaced. Even though the mileage on the speedo is original, under 80,000, the previous owner had the original 179 cubic inch six cylinder engine totally rebuilt. The brakes are stock drum brakes which have just been rebuilt with new drums, linings and cylinders so it stops as it should. The interior was re done last year in bone leather (seats and door trims), and new tan carpet on the floor. The original seat covers and door trims also go with the car along with the original hub caps but not the original wheels. The wheels on the car are 15 inch American Dragways with triple spinner knock on wheel centres. The tyres are brand new with 100 percent tread, 8 inch on the back and 7 inch on the front. The front end and suspension is original, not touched. This car is a head turner and there is never a shortage of people who want to look over it and talk about it.
