Seller's Description
Damn - is she pretty? This 1966 Mercedes Benz 230S is a great example of an increasingly desirable classic car. Charismatic and full of personality, lavished in chrome from front to back, she turns heads everywhere she goes. “Heckflosse” is German for fintail, though I’ve always preferred the name “Finny” for this survivor from the 1960s. Finny could be the beginning of or an addition to a Wedding Car Hire business, as you can see in the photos – she suits perfectly for those elegant occasions. This was my dream when I bought her... Ideal for club registration or a weekend cruiser, Finny is in pretty good condition for a near 50 year old car. Original and unmodified (bar the aftermarket CD player and speakers fitted), the vibrant red trim needs some very small repairs to be perfect again. The heater is non-functional at the moment, it has some minor paint blemishes and some very minor bubbles under the paint. I would call it 98% rust free! Like many old cars, it does leave a small drop of oil here or there when parked. There are way more positives that outweigh the negatives in any case. With some minor adjustments and a bit of tinkering here and there, you’ll enjoy many years with Finny in your life. Inspection is recommended, and can be made by appointment only.
