Just arrived - Special in name, special in nature, this 1967 Holden HR Special has just arrived at Collectable Classics. Produced between 1966 and 1968, the HR's fresh styling from its predecessor, the HD, still shines today. This HR is an Adelaide-built car and an older restoration. The current owner purchased the car in 2005, after which the HR received a respray and engine rebuild. Today, the HR is still powered by a 161ci (2.6L) 'Red' 6-cylinder engine and paired to a 3-speed column shift manual transmission. Finished in the original Finisterre Green with a Grecian white roof, the car is beginning to show some aging, but is still in nice driving condition. The Opera and Ballet Green interior remains very original, save for an upgraded Kenwood radio, and is still very neat and tidy for the age of the vehicle.
