1969 Genuine HK GTS 327 Bathurst Monaro matching numbers car
Ermine white exterior with Goya Red interior. Full rotisserie restoration to achieve a concourse finish with use of original and some NOS parts
Sydney built car with all correct and appropriate 81837 specific parts including Saginaw 4 speed gearbox, Limited slip differential, manifolds and original power steering and Rochester Quadrajet carburettor
Tags were removed before the restoration and later reinstalled by the owner. According to him that was standard practice at the time so they didn’t get damaged or stolen
The restoration was professionally completed in 2004 by a reputable old school restoration company in SA - Marque Restoration, and according to the previous owner it took 5 years to complete. Even after 22 years since the restoration was completed the Interior, exterior, engine bay, body, underside and boot are all in great condition
The exterior panels were hand filed the old school way to a perfect body finish
The original interior was still in good condition before the restoration so it was removed cleaned, a few small stitching repairs to the seats and the seats were repadded and fixed then reupholstered with original vinyl covers. The headliner, armrests and crash pad were the only replacements to the interior
The Hk still retains its original spare tyre and although it is there as a showpiece only in the boot another tyre is used in its place
Previous owner bought the car in 1998 from Joe's Golden Gasoline Classic Imports in SA after it was traded it in by a gentleman from the Riverwood area to buy a Camero that had just been imported from the USA. The Hk still presented well at the time of purchase but it was looking a little tired and the new owner felt it needed a full restoration and a little more power to the original engine was desired
Included Owner log books and some bagged parts that were replaced since purchase 5 years ago
