A lot time and money spent restoring this 1970 Dodge Charger Genuine R/T to its former glory with lots of modern additions to make this a great looking and driving muscle car. Excellent condition inside and out. Number's matching engine.
If you’re looking for something original or something modified that drives tight with lots of power then this is the car for you. The car has been modified to improve both power and handling. Engine has had a full rebuild with JE forged pistons and a 0.030 over bored block, and a new mild Crow Cam, Borgeson power steering, Rebuilt 727 torqueflite transmission, Koni adjustable suspension with thicker torsion bar and sway bars with new springs on the rear give it a supple ride and aggressive stance.
Undergoing complete nut and bolt rotisserie restoration 10 years ago in the US, with tons of further work here in Australia. The car has no rust, and every part has been restored, rebuilt or replaced. The underside of the car is excellent, clean and strong, retaining its original floors which received rustproofing from the factory. Paintwork is excellent and has been painted in Dodge Viper Snakeskin Pearlescent Green. Interior is excellent, beautiful headliner, and upholstery, and has an original style radio that has been modified to receive Bluetooth. Still retains the perfectly working original Air Conditioning from factory which runs ice cold.
A lot of work completed here in Australia including: Electrics: All electrics work, including the headlamp shutters, all gauges, wipers, and interior lighting. It even has the door buzz noise when you leave the keys in the ignition. Complete new wiring of electronics in Australia. Headlamps have been modified to take Halogens with all new wiring and relays ADR compliant rear orange turn signal modification so turn signals are separate from the brake light and have been built into the reverse lights. Wheels: Brand new 18” Performance wheels with 8” front and 9” rear. Brand new Nitto invo performance tyres with 245/45/18 on the front and 275/40/18 on the rear.
Also comes a set of the original Magnum wheels and tyres. Drivetrain work: JE Forged Flat top pistons 0.030 oversize Bored block 0.030 oversize Machine block decks ARP main bolts and rod bolts and resized conrods New Crow Cam for street performance New Hydraulic lifters New Melling oil pump and sump fitted New Cylinder heads, valve guides, valve seats, valves, and springs. Holley square bore Vacuum secondary 750CFM carburetter Modified throttle & Auto trans kick down to suit new carb Rebuilt original heads, machine block and balanced. Complete rebuilt of the original 727 torqueflite including new friction plates and rebuilt torque converter.
Complete rebuild of the original 3.23:1 8.75” sure grip differential Steering: Completely rebuilt and replaced system in Australia with Borgeson power steering box. Exhaust: New semi-tuned ceramic coated headers and full custom exhaust system. Sounds amazing Exhaust is really nicely tucked into the car and even after the lowering, there is plenty of clearance from road humps and no rubbing on the wheels. Brakes: Rebuild of the brakes including optional disc brakes on front from the factory New Mancini Racing Brake booster and master cylinder.
Suspension modifications have improved the look and stance of the car: Full new Koni adjustable shocks, front and rear New rear springs with 2”lowering blocks New 1.03” PST torsion bars New 1 1/8” Hellwig sway bar Currently on non-transferrable historic plates, but has been registered previously and this year I put it through a pink slip.
