Seller's Description
Purchased from the Gosford Car Museum in 2018. Excellent unmolested Valiant R/T Charger E38 6 Pack Big Tank. One of only 224 Big Tank E38s built in 1971 and one of only 12 with the same build specifications. Supposedly only 159 remain today. Originally sold through Parallel Motors, Eugowra, NSW this classic Mercury Silver E38 has had a doors-closed repaint which still presents extremely well on a perfect original straight body, with very nice original Black interior trim, carpets, seat belts, dash with working underdash air-conditioning. Under the bonnet is the legendary and numbers matching Chrysler 265 cubic inch Hemi six cylinder engine topped by the three maestro tuned Weber masterpieces from Bologna, Italy with original air filter elements still in place. The sound is still magnificent. The stand out feature of the A84 Track Pack option is the 35 gallon 160 litre Bathurst tank, still strapped purposefully into the boot, no-nonsense work by Chrysler engineers of the day. The twin external fillers still give the game away and is all class. The car is mechanically perfect with original hard to find 3 speed gearbox still in it's rightful place. This is the one for the Charger purist. Ready for any inspection, in our Kingsgrove, Sydney Showroom. And if you are unable to travel due to Covid restrictions, AMCS will gladly arrange a video inspection/road test of the car using WhatsApp, and of course there is no issue with door to door freight delivery anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
