Just arrived - This 1973 Ford Falcon XA Fairmont Coupe is a nice example of an Aussie classic. The first Falcon to be designed and manufactured in Australia, the XA saw success in motorsport with the likes of Moffat and Goss, and has become an Aussie muscle car icon. Purchased from a QLD owner, the current owner has owned the XA for the last 20 years, during which it was given a restoration. This XA is an original Fairmont coupe, which has since been upgraded as a 351GT tribute. The car was stripped back and rust fixed, and resprayed in its original Red Pepper paint. The original 302c (4.9L) has been replaced with a 351ci (5.8L) Cleveland motor with a 680 Holley carburettor and a few more Holley extras. The car is also fitted with a 3-speed C4 automatic transmission, and other goodies like an electronic ignition, a fresh fuel pump and a fuel sender fitted. The car presents nicely despite the age of the restoration and will surely turn heads. Complete with a nice file documenting the work and servicing done over the years, this XA is a neat and tidy package.
