Just arrived - This 1974 Ford Falcon XB GT 351 is a genuine and rare car with incredibly low genuine mileage. According to the Australian Classic Car History Services (ACCHS), partnered with Ford, only 1930 XB sedans rolled off the production line, with this car being the 955th. Fit with a 'T' code 351 (5.8L) CDI 4v Cleveland V8 and a 3-speed floor shift automatic transmission, the XB is 1 of 1013. In addition, the Polar White exterior and Saddle Vinyl and cloth interior make the XB 1 of only 13. In total, this XB GT is 1 of just 1 in build specification. It was ordered with a windback sunroof, a laminated tintband windscreen, integrated air conditioning, dual mirrors, a Superfringe deluxe push button radio, and a heated backlight. It was sold new by Fairway Ford in Malvern, SA and is currently a two-owner car. The current owners purchased the car in 1989 as a project car, which only began in 1995 when the body was stripped, sandblasted and repainted, and the original interior reinstalled. The paint has never been cut and polished since its respray. The motor and transmission were reconditioned in 2009 by Rhemac High Performance Engines in Willaston. This included the addition of a Crane hydraulic roller cam, Yella Terra ST-2035 rockers, an ARP main stud kit, SRP pistons and rings, a Scat 9000 series 4.000 stroke cranks, heavy-duty conrods, and a few extras. The XB was then dyno tuned, reaching 239.1kW. Rhemac also replaced the wiring and air conditioning ducting. Today, the car presents very nicely for such an original car. The interior is in stunning condition, and the paint has fared well for an older restoration, though it is certainly not new. Additionally, the current owner confirms that the 31,549km shown on the clock is true and correct. This XB is complete with its original owner's manual, original number plates, build report, and a file documenting the engine work.
