Located in Hobart and offered for sale is this 1975 XB GS van. Purchased a few years ago as a project but needs to go as space and other unfinished projects are becoming an issue. Car has rust in all the expected spots, but certainly not terminal. Besides the two foot wells, she’s surprisingly solid underneath. Rust seems to be confined to the sills on both sides, lower guards & doors plus a small spot in the firewall. Van is actually quite a rare old girl as she’s a 6 cylinder (250) with a bench seat and 3 on the tree, but also a factory optioned GS and has all the option 48 refinements. Included is the build sheet from FOMOCO confirming that it’s the only XB van built to this configuration (see photos) Mechanically speaking, car is 100% complete and original, but unsure of condition of engine & drivetrain. I put a battery in it when I got it, but only got a whirr from the starter motor and the bendix gear wouldn’t engage the flywheel, so yeah I don’t really know. We’re looking at offers of around $10k and can assist with transport to any mainland states. Happy to send more photos or videos.
