While based on the Mustang HO motor with GT40 heads, Tickford applied a number of enhancements, including improved intake and exhaust systems, specific camshaft tuning and recalibrated engine management, resulting in stronger performance and a purposeful GT character.
This example is fitted with the factory five-speed manual transmission, a rare option that delivers a more connected and performance-focused driving experience compared to the standard automatic. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential, and the chassis is supported by a bespoke Tickford-tuned suspension setup, stiffer anti-roll bars, and uprated brakes. With just over 68,000 kilometres from new, this EB GT remains mechanically sound and true to its original performance intent.
EXTERIOR
Finished in the model’s signature Cardinal Red, this EB GT presents nicely with all original paint. The styling was among the boldest of its era, with a Tickford-designed body kit that included a deep front spoiler, unique side skirts, flared guards, and a prominent rear wing.
The paintwork retains strong gloss and uniformity, with only minor stone chips and age-appropriate imperfections visible under close inspection. Original alloy wheels, unique to the EB GT, remain in very good condition. Badging, glass, headlight lenses, and exterior mouldings show only minimal wear and reinforce the low-mileage, history of this car.
INTERIOR
The cabin of the EB GT was a step above its XR6 and XR8 siblings, with high-backed sports seats, Howe leather and suede trim, Momo Steering Wheel and GT instrumentation.
