HSV was a joint venture between Tom Walkinshaw and Holden, introduced in 1987 as the performance vehicle sector of Holden. This followed controversies around the HDT Director and Energy Polarizer from Peter Brock's HDT vehicle sector. Special HSV models were harder to come by in these earlier models compared to the later generations. The VY Series only ran for two short years, and the VY S2 Series HSV saw a significant power upgrade from the S1.
This 2004 HSV VY Clubsport S2 is build number #0478 and was built on 05/12/2003. From the factory, the car was finished in the clean and ideal Quicksilver Metallic with black cloth trim and an automatic gearbox. This example has a range of aftermarket upgrades to help the Clubsport produce 373rwkw. These upgrades include a Magna Supercharger kit, head and camshaft package, rebuilt gearbox with 3500RPM Dominator Stall, and much more (list below). Standard features include Xenon headlights, foglights, metallic paint, 19" alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, HSV bodykit and spoiler, HSV cloth interior, power windows and mirrors, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, gauge pod, dual-zone climate control, Aftermarket Pioneer head unit.
