Monaros' were exported to UK and badged, Vauxhall, and to USA as Pontiac.

In a collaboration between GM UK and Greens' Automotive, a small number of 6 LT, 6 speed Monaros' were upgraded to VXR500 specifications including;
Supercharged LS2, 6 LT engine, producing 495 BHP, 500 LG FT torque, LS7 clutch, vented brakes, Pedder low suspension pack.
The VXR500 was the subject of many favourable motoring articles and featured on car series including Top Gear.
The owner, Laurence Kalnin, is one of few who achieved "Hall of Fame Legends" in Targa Tasmania, he says , "I've driven some of the worlds best supercars, the VXR500 is up there with performance, and the most exciting car I've driven."
