2019 Swanpool Motor Festival

The Albert Heaney Oval Reserve Committee is running a Motor Festival event to raise funds to maintain the oval and buildings for future use by the residents and local community groups. Next years event will provide a new format with a relaxed atmosphere of vehicles being displayed on the oval and awards being made either by the sponsor or the committee without “show & shine” type judging. Instead of giving a $15 trophy to a vehicle judged to be the cleanest and most authentic in class we will be giving prizes, to any vehicle selected, as in gift certificates, donated by sponsors, to be spent with the sponsors business.  We envisage that these prizes will total $1500 or more.  Entry is $5 and includes all passengers. Nobody else has promoted an event like this and we are positive that it will be a success and will grow each year.  This event will also see a racecar transporter on site with at least three very exotic and expensive cars on board which will be displayed.  We are also going to show some local Porsche racecars that have previously not been displayed to the public. Along with the display vehicles, including cars, bikes, trucks, buses, tractors and racecars we will also have a Swap Meet and Market Stalls.  Other attractions will include wine tastings & sales from local wineries in the surrounding area, full catering with breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon teas, take away food and a fully licensed bar all in the Air Conditioned Café, live music with the Slim Morrison band, coffee van.  Gates will open from 8am (gold coin donation) and the event will run until 2-3pm with prizes being awarded to only those vehicles still on display at 1pm. http://www.swanpoolanddistrict.com.au/swanpool-motor-festival-2019.html
