Maffra’s Gippsland Vehicle Collection will launch its new exhibit on Sunday.

Maffra’s Gippsland Vehicle Collection will launch its new exhibit on Sunday. Flat Top Fords celebrates the old side valve engines that had the valves placed in the block next to the piston, rather than in the cylinder head as they are in overhead valve (OHV) engines.
There are many great reasons to come along and see the exhibit, which will run from November to March, including a 1932 Model 18 – the first of the Flathead V8s – in original condition, a 1934 Model 40 V8 Coupe, a line-up of Model Ts and Model As, a selection of military vehicles, a race boat and a Ford V8 powered trike, as well as a Ford V8 conversion of a Fergy tractor and many more.
Enthusiasts are welcome to bring their own vehicles to the launch – any make or model – and show them in the grounds of the GVC as part of the display of the day, with trophies awarded for best exhibits in the grounds. Food and drinks are available.
So come and join us for the exhibit launch, or make sure you mark it in your diary to see the exhibit before it changes over again at the end of March 2018.
