Custom sheetmetal inside, outside and underneath, including a custom undercarriage and shaved engine bay, make this Torana look oh-so-smooth and explains its name – ‘Metal As’.

Coating it all is DuPont Papaya paint that has an almost-luminous effect due to being applied over a white base.

Inside, the lack of carpets and all-metal finish to everything except the dash pad and seats give Metal As the feel of a stripped out racer. Those seats are out of a Skyline, with other interior gear including a billet steering column, steering wheel and handbrake, B&M shifter and an abundance of Pro Comp gauges.

A multiple trophy winner, including Elite Top 10 at Summernats 32, Metal As scored Top Standard Paint – Street Machine at the expo.
