1st Cortina Nats - THIS WEEKEND!

To be held over three days, the 1st Cortina Nationals has attracted over 200 entries, covering the gamut of Cortina production, from Mark 1 and 2, right through to all the T Series Cortinas.

The 1st Cortina Nationals kicks off on Friday, June 8, with registrations and an informal get-together at Albury's Lake Hume Resort, which will be the hub for the event.

Saturday, June 9 will start with a barbeque breakfast at Blacklock's Ford, Lavington, followed by a tour of the region, taking in Mt. Beauty and Bright, before reconvening at Beechworth for an informal lunch. Upon return to the lake Hume resort, there will be a car boot sale and sit-down dinner with special guest speakers.

Sunday, June 10 is the public Show 'n' Shine day, which will be held at the Kinross Woolshed Hotel, Thurgoona, less than 10km north of Albury. Public entry from 9:30AM is by gold coin donation, with proceeds going to local community groups.

As an added bonus, the CMOOC are also raffling a 1967 Mk1 Cortina 440 sedan on Sunday. Tickets are only $20 each, and only 750 will be offered. If you've always wanted a Cortina - for not much money - this is your chance!

The CMOOC are urging all Cortina owners and enthusiasts to join them for this first time event.
