2007 Toyota V6 Aurion Revealed

The Aurion is the much anticipated replacement for the lacklustre Avalon - a car that Toyota promised so much, but in reality was shunned by the motoring public for its bland styling. Toyota are not making the same mistake twice, with the Aurion sporting all new styling, V6 and name. For now Toyota is only showing the new car with interior details and other specifications to be released closer to its launch in October. Also on show was a performance version of the Aurion, which will be launched inearly 2007.

The performance model features a sports-tuned supercharged 3.5-litre V6 and will come with a complete package of dynamic driving aids. Also on show were the recently released RAV4 AWD compact wagon and the Yaris sedan, which launches this month. The sedan builds on the 12 model Yaris hatchback range launched in October 2005. Yaris sedan has an improved 1.5-litre engine that can be matched to a five-speed manual, or electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission.
