2008 Bay to Birdwood Run
Vehicle entries are now open for the world's largest continuous motoring event… the famous Bay to Birdwood Run. Over 1,500 cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles are expected to take part this year and entries have already been arriving steadily from across the country. But owners are encouraged to get their entries in early. Bay to Birdwood Chairman, Kym Hulme said "unfortunately we usually receive dozens of calls and late entries, but the overwhelming popularity and sheer scale of the Bay to Birdwood Run necessitates a strict cut off date of Friday 15 August".
Entry forms are now available online for veteran, vintage or any vehicles manufactured on or before 31 December 1955. This year's Bay to Birdwood Run will be held on Sunday 28 September. Tens of thousands of spectators traditionally line the route to watch the cars, buses, trucks and motorcycles travel from Adelaide Shores to the post event party at the renowned National Motor Museum in the Adelaide Hills town of Birdwood. Generations of South Australians have jostled for the best spots along the route to watch this exciting event. Since starting in 1980, the event has established itself as Australia's premier historic motoring event and has earned Australia-wide recognition.
