2008 Holden VE Sportswagon
GM Holden has taken the covers off its highly anticipated new VE Sportwagon model and power- train line-up, due to arrive in the first half of 2008. Revealed at the 2007 Australian International Motor Show in Sydney, the all new VE Sport- wagon boasts a sporty design and engineering advances that create a stylish yet practical wagon. The seen model line-up will offer a new level of comfort, safety and styling in a Holden wagon, combined with sedan like ride and handling characteristics. VE Sportwagon will be available in the full range of VE Commodore variants including Omega, Berlina and Calais, plus the sporty SV6, SS and the range topping SS-V and Calais V models. Specifications will be in line with VE sedan variants with the addition of rear park assist as standard on all wagons. Philip Brook, GM Holden's Director of Marketing, said Holden would now have a Sportwagon for every type of customer. "We've expanded our wagon range from the three variants we had at VZ, to an impressive seven VE variants to ensure there's a Sportwagon for everyone. "Sportwagon is the perfect addition to the VE Commodore range and will put excitement back into this traditionally conservative segment." VE Sportwagon's pricing and full specifications and features will be announced closer to the start of sales.
