2011 World Time Attack Challenge
Imagine big horsepower, purpose-built, turbo-charged cars going as fast as the V8 Supercars.
All competing for time - so it's all about the perfect lap. The rules are simple - the car with the fastest lap time on the day wins.
The only real restrictions are the tyres the competitors are allowed the use "No slicks". It surprising to see the times they can achieve. Last year's winner Eiji "Tarzan" Yamada from Japan will be returning driving the 700hp Team Cyber, Mitsubishi Evolution 9 witch managed a best of 1:30.58, when you compare that to the V8 Supercar lap record of 1:31.7301 held by Mark Skaife in a VT Commodore (1999) it's quite impressive. This year there will be even more excitement as there will be a lot of serious international and local competitors challenging for the crown..
