AC Cars build first RHD Cobra MkVI
Three separate facilities in the US and Europe are producing vehicles under the 'AC Cars' label, but none of these have previously offered an RHD example until now.
The AC MkVI was relaunched in 2011, with production in Germany and the US, supported by an 'AC Heritage Centre' in the UK.
Powered by a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 producing a claimed 434hp (324kW), 3.7-second 0-100km/h time and 278km/h top speed, the German-built RHD AC MkIV will make its debut at the Performance Car Show in the UK this January.
UK distributors MacG Racing say that the MkVI is fully homologated for worldwide sales and meets all emissions standards.
An FIA-homologated race version for GT4 competition is currently under development, with release expected later this year.
