Alfa 4C in running for World Performance Car award
To be released in Australia later this year, the 4C is among 10 other vehicles vying to take the coveted accolade, which will be announced during the New York International Auto Show on April 17.
69 international automotive journalists were involved in the selection process via a secret ballot.
The World Car Awards began in 2004 'to reflect the reality of the global marketplace, as well as to recognise and reward automotive excellence on an international scale'.
They are run by a non-profit association and not affiliated with any manufacturers, publications or commercial partners.
News of the 4C's nomination follows its success in four other international awards since the start of this year.
