Anniversaries aplenty for 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed

A 'Best Of' will be a highlight of this year's celebrations at Goodwood, featuring a wide and varied selection of all-time great cars, motorcycles, drivers and riders the first two decades.

Other anniversaries of note which will be honoured at Goodwood this coming July include: 90 years of the Le Mans 24 Hours; 60 years of the Sports Car World Championship; 50 years of the Porsche 911; 50 years of Lamborghini; 50 years of McLaren; 50 years of the Mini Cooper S and Lotus Cortina competition specials; and 40 years of the World Rally Championship.

The anticipated 'Central Feature' sculpture on Goodwood House lawn will be given over to the Porsche 911 this year, so expect something big and bold on display, if past years have been anything to go by.

Of course, all the usual Goodwood attractions, like the Michelin Supercar Run, hillclimb, Motorcycle Mania, Forest Rally Stage, G.A.S. freestyle bike displays, exhibition area and more will return for the 20th Anniversary Festival.
