Burns & Co’s three-night Muscle, Classic & Collectable Car & Motorcycle Auction is packed with opportunities.
With cars and motorcycles continuing to flood through the doors of both their Bayswater and Newcastle/Central Coast premises, Burns & Co Auctions’ next Muscle, Classic & Collectable Car & Motorcycle Auction will be held over three nights.
Monday, 10 November, will be Night 1, with the first lot going under the hammer at the bidder friendly time of 6:00pm AEDT. Night 2, on Tuesday, 11 November, will also kick off from 6:00pm AEDT, as will the third and final night, on Wednesday, 12 November.
Bidders can bid online, via phone, with absentee bidding forms, or attend and bid in person at 4 Market Drive, Bayswater Vic, 3153 from 6:00pm AEDT each night.
NOTE: There is no in-person bidding at Burns & Co’s Newcastle/Central Coast premises.

With over 110 lots, featuring cars, motorcycles and selected memorabilia, this auction will be another massive three-night event. As always with Burns & Co. auctions, whether you’re after Aussie muscle, an all-time favourite classic, automotive icons from America, Europe or Asia, a collectable motorcycle or entry level club car, there is sure to be something to suit your taste and budget.
Burns and Co. have a history of offering up some excellent Aussie classic and muscle cars, and this is the case again for the November auction, with a great selection available.
Fords on offer include a restored XW Falcon GT-HO Phase II, XY Falcon T-Code sedan (Ex-Police), XF Falcon panel van, FPV Super Pursuit ute, XD Fairmont Ghia and a rare Meteor sedan from the ’80s. Aussie Chryslers include an AP5 Valiant sedan and VC Valiant Safari wagon. There’s also an Australian-delivered ’34 Chevrolet Master Deluxe sedan that’s being offered unreserved.
For Holden lovers, there are a pair of HDT VL SS Group A Commodores (one of which has the ‘Plus Pack’), Two HDT VC Commodores, HK and HX LE Monaros, a UC Torana sedan built as a racing A9X tribute, 48-215 sedan with subtle upgrades, EH and EJ Special sedans (the EJ unreserved), HD Special and HG Kingswood wagons (both unreserved), an HD Special X2 sedan, HQ Kingswood sedan (unreserved), HZ Premier 308 sedan, an early-build HSV VN SV5000, two HSV GTO coupes, VZ SS sedan (Ex-Police), HSV E Series Clubsport sedan and Gen-F Clubsport wagon, plus VK, VL, VN, VP and VS Commodores, and a rare VZ Adventra LX8 wagon. There is also a nice selection of Holden utes available, including an HSV Gen-F Maloo GTS-R, HSV VS Maloo, HZ GTS tribute, HK Belmont, EH and HZ.
The real treat amongst the Holdens is a 1957 ‘three-door’ ambulance that’s described as the sole survivor of eight examples built in period. Based on an FE station wagon, this ambulance originally saw service in South Australia, then went to New Zealand, where the ambulance equipment was removed and it served as a regular wagon. A recent, extensive restoration saw period ambulance equipment refitted, including lights, sirens and a stretcher, with the finished article wearing St. Johns livery.

The American, European and other foreign-built cars in this auction starts with a broad selection of Chevrolets in the form of a ’71 Corvette C3 Stingray T-top and ’86 Corvette C4 coupe, a very desirable and genuine 1970 Chevelle SS 454, a ’68 Camaro coupe, ’67 Impala 4-door hardtop, ’58 Apache pickup, 2003 Avalanche pickup, plus a stunning (and very rare) ’48 Stylemaster sedan delivery with a modern 350 SBC and auto.
American Fords on offer include 1970 Mach 1 and 1968 California Special Mustangs, ’69 and ’77 F-100 pickups, a restomod ’56 Customline sedan, 1928 Model A Tourer, and 1915 Model T Bus
For Jaguar lovers, there is an XJ-SC, two Sovereigns (one unreserved), and two Mark Vs. Other Brits include a ’68 Daimler Sovereign, two Morris Oxford utes (both unreserved), a ’49 Ford Prefect ute, ’38 MG VA saloon project, ’85 Rolls Royce Silver Spirit, rare ’55 Hillman Californian hardtop, ’55 Standard Vanguard ute, ’62 Vauxhall Cresta sedan and a ’63 Mini Cooper S tribute.
Mercedes offerings include a ’78 280SL convertible and a pair of ’71 280 sedans - one SE, one SEL - that could be put to use as wedding/formal hire vehicles. A 2001 BMW 330ci convertible and rare 1976 BMW 3.0 La sedan are also available.
Other rarities include a ’38 Packard sedan, ’56 Buick Special, ’63 Dodge 880 Custom sedan, very rare ’86 Pontiac Grand Am coupe and a 1928 Renault Type N project.
Other foreign-made cars in this auction include a ’74 Datsun 120Y coupe, ’91 Nissan R32 Skyline, and a popular ’85 Suzuki Mighty Boy ute.
For the kids, there are also a couple of cute pedal cars that could make an ideal Christmas gift for the junior revhead!

Then there are the motorcycles, with a big and bold 2015 Victory Magnum bagger leading the way, while a 2003 Yamaha XVS 1100 V-Star offers a subtler way to cruise.
Classic bikes on offer include a restored 1936 Harley-Davidson VLD outfit with NSW-built J.G. Murphy sidecar, a ’29 Indian 101 Scout and ’45 Indian Chief – both restored - with the Scout offered unreserved. There’s also a 1919 Indian Powerplus project.
Other bikes in this auction include a ’73 BMW R75/5, ’71 Honda CB100, and a rare, disc-brake version of the ’74 Moto Guzzi Eldorado that’s also equipped with panniers and auxiliary lights.
Finally, for something a bit different, there’s an ICV trike with a 3.8-litre V6 and four-speed automatic transmission out of a VN Commodore. Used for motorcycle funerals, this unique creation comes with a ‘Coffin Carrier’ enclosed hearse trailer that’s styled and equipped to match the trike.
