Virtually stock inside and out, the original features on this first-gen pony car will satisfy Mustang purists, while the selection of modern extras accommodates contemporary tastes. The period correct C-Code 289 Windsor V8 is fuelled by a 2-barrel carburettor and runs through a three-speed Cruise-O-Matic auto to the factory diff. Producing over 200hp, the V8 has been dressed up with an aftermarket air cleaner and valve covers.
On the outside, fresh chrome trim is complemented by 18-inch Intro ‘Twisted Vista’ billet alloys that deliver the right amount of attitude.
White Delight
This car’s factory authentic look continues inside. White vinyl on the seats and doorcards is contrasted by new black carpets that were fitted during the restoration, enhanced with branded floormats.
The white-rim GT steering wheel keeps the theme going, with an authentic T-bar shifter, gauges and radio, too. For modern sounds, there’s a Pioneer CD head unit mounted discreetly under the dash.
The RHD conversion is a practical touch, and the white vinyl convertible top is power operated for ultimate convenience. There’s also a white tonneau cover for when the top is stowed.
