In the case of this Monaro GTS, ‘HQ’ stands for ‘High Quality’! A complete, professional, bare metal rebuild has taken one of Holden’s best and made it better. The outstanding paint is Jade Green metallic, topped with high-gloss clear flow coat, and enhanced with authentic GTS stripes and badging, plus genuine GTS wheels and red stripe tyres.
Inside, beige vinyl trim complements the GTS steering wheel and gauge set, with the refurbished dash, carpets and headlining completing the interior.
Made to Move
Under the bonnet, this Monaro features a built 308 V8 that’s been upgraded with L34 heads, roller rockers, a Crane camshaft and ignition, Harrop Performance intake manifold, Holley 750DP carby and more. A 2,500rpm stall torque converter hooks up to a heavy-duty Stage 2 auto transmission, with a 10-bolt Holden LSD completing the driveline.
Heavy-duty One Tonner axles complement the beefed-up running gear, while twin thermo fans keep the 308 cool. Finally, power steering makes manoeuvring a breeze.
