DB5 is back for next Bond film
Since its first Appearance in the 1963 production of Goldfinger, the DB5 has become THE signature Bond vehicle, and regularly rates at the top of 'Bond Car' favourites lists worldwide. Aside from its oh-so-cool looks, the original DB5 featured an arsenal of weapons and gadgets, including front-mounted machine guns, revolving number plates, radar tracker, oil slick and smoke screen dispensers, rear bulletproof screen and everyone's favourite - the passenger ejector seat. What sort of gadgets the Skyfall-spec DB5 will carry is yet to be revealed.
Skyfall is the 23rd film in the Bond franchise. The basic synopsis of this latest instalment sees Bond's (Daniel Craig) loyalty to MI6 chief M (Dame Judi Dench) tested as her past comes back to haunt her. MI6 comes under attack and, as you may expect, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter what the cost. Locations include London, Shanghai and Istanbul.
Aside from Craig and Dench, Skyfall stars Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Berenice Marlohe, Naomie Harris, and Albert Finney. Director is Sam Mendes.
