Dreamworld 'Motorsport Experience' now open
The precinct's main attraction for thrillseekers is the 'Hot Wheels Sidewinder' - the world's first Hot Wheels-themed rollercoaster. One of the 'Big9' thrill rides at Dreamworld and one of the tallest rollercoasters in the Southern Hemisphere, the Hot Wheels Sidewinder tops out at 18 storeys high, reaches speeds of 85km/h and pumps music through the seat headrests.
Other attractions include the 'Brock's Garage' collection of 28 genuine and replica Peter Brock race vehicles (formerly the Peter Champion collection) and related memorabilia.
Also in this revhead heaven are six V8 Supercar RedLine racing simulators, a 'Trackside' store with Hot Wheels and other branded motorsports merchandise, plus a 'Sports Bar' and 'Grid Burgers' food outlet to refuel.
The precinct was officially opened by Bev Brock, with guests for the launch including V8 Supercars' James Courtney and Hawthorn premiership captain, Luke Hodge.
Dreamworld CEO Craig Davidson said the new precinct is a winner for families and motorsport fans alike, adding there's nothing else like it in Australia.
