Entries open for 2022 Geelong Revival sprints
Car category entries for the quarter mile sprints at the 2022 Geelong Revival Motoring Festival opened on 25 July, with the 25-27 November event expected to attract hundreds of cars and motorcycles to compete on the unique Ritchie Boulevard quarter mile sprint course on the Geelong waterfront.
November’s Revival will actually be the second to be held this year, after the 2021 event was rescheduled to March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
To take part in the car sprints, entry fees range from $195 for pre-1960 and log booked vehicles, $345 for 1960-1999 vehicles and $375 from vehicles from 2000 to present.
The entry fee includes 1 x pit space, race number stickers, 1 x driver pass and 2 x pit crew passes.
All sprint competitors need to place their entries through Motorsport Australia (MA) and have an MA Speed licence. This process will be familiar to existing MA account holders, but sprint entrants who do not have an MA account can create one HERE and acquire a one-event licence.
Various other requirements are necessary for sprint entrants, too, which can be found HERE.
The cut-off for sprint entries is 14 November, unless fully allocated prior.
The quarter mile sprints are the prime attraction at the 2022 Geelong Revival, but there’s also the Shannons Classic Motorshow, Supercar Paddock, Big Wheels 4x4 and truck display, Motorcycle Mecca display, vintage caravan and boat displays, a trade expo, live music, the National Vintage Fashion Awards and more.
Except for pit access and VIP hospitality packages, public entry is free to all elements of the Revival.
The second Geelong Revival Motoring Festival for 2022 is scheduled for 25-27 November and is an event that shouldn’t be missed.
