Future Mustangs?
According to Ford, the Mustang is the most customised car in the US$31 billion aftermaket industry.
"The Mustang is an iconic car," said Melvin Betancourt, Ford SEMA design manager. "People always want to reinvent it, and everyone has an idea about what the next Mustang should be."
The Mustangs illustrated here have all been designed (and built) by aftermarket shops in the USA, with self expression the underlining theme. According to Allison Revier, Ford Mustang marketing manager, these project vehicles, "all look dramatically different and that's what I think is so great about it". "Everyone starts out with the same vehicle, but each aftermarket builder turns it into something completely distinctive."
