GMSV announces Chevrolet Corvette Bathurst 12 Hour edition

To celebrate the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R race car making its Australian debut at the 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour, GM Specialty Vehicles (GMSV) has created a special version of the Z06 road car – the ‘Bathurst 12 Hour Specialty Edition’ – for the Australian and New Zealand market.

The only MY26 Corvette Z06s to be released in Australia and New Zealand, the Bathurst 12 Hour Specialty Edition takes the Z06 coupe with Z07 Performance Package and includes a number of Corvette options as standard. The interior trim combination will be exclusive to this model for the A-NZ market, with Bathurst-specific decals added.

“There has been huge enthusiasm for the Corvette Z06 GT3.R coming to Bathurst, and we wanted to capture that excitement in a car our customers can own and drive on the road,” said Jess Bala, Managing Director, General Motors Australia and New Zealand.

“The MY26 Corvette Z06 Bathurst 12 Hour Special Edition is our most focussed, most exclusive Corvette offering yet for this part of the world – and it will be the only way to secure a MY26 Z06 in Australia and New Zealand.”

Only 12 units of the Bathurst 12 Hour Specialty Edition will be built, all based on the 2026 Corvette Z06 3LZ coupe and all in Switchblade Silver. Along with Carbon Flash accents, the special editions also feature black 20-/21-inch forged alloy wheels, blue brake calipers, C8.R graphics and an exclusive Bathurst 12 Hour track decal. The Z07 Performance Package includes Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, Z07 suspension with magnetic selective ride control, a carbon fibre aero package and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres.

Inside, the combination of Jet Black and Santorini Blue napa leather with competition seats and blue seatbelts will be exclusive to the Bathurst 12 Hour Specialty Edition for the Australian and New Zealand market this year. Other interior features include Stealth and Carbon Fibre trim, plus an individually numbered build plate that identifies the car’s 1 of 12 status.

Each purchaser of the MY26 Corvette Z06 Bathurst 12 Hour Specialty Edition will also receive a custom print, indoor car cover with GT3.R graphic, and Corvette Racing merchandise pack.
