Holden upgrades SS V Redline Commodore for 2015
The across-the-range additions include new dynamic steering calibration and enhanced reversing camera software, with curving target lines. Steering calibration differs depending on model, but all three levels of tune claim to enhance on-centre steering feel and precision.
New colour additions for 2015 are 'Jungle Green' and 'Some Like It Hot Red'. Both are extra-cost premium paint options, with the green only available on SV6, SS, SS V and SS V Redline models. A black roof option will also be available with selected colours. The Redline also gets a new design of 19-inch alloy wheel, as well as new Jet Black interior as standard.
In terms of safety, Holden's trio of ISOFIX rear seat anchor points makes it one of a handful of Australian cars to offer three child seat anchor points. 2015 versions of the SV6 and Calais will now come with a full size spare wheel as standard, rather than a puncture repair kit.
The big addition is the steering wheel paddle shift controls for automatic transmission versions of the SS V Redline. Combined with the 'Active Select' gear change function, the paddle shifters claim to offer more precise shifting and an even sportier driving experience.
Holden Chairman and Managing Director, Gerry Dorizas, said the MY15 VF Commodore upgrades were driven by customer feedback.
"We've listened to our customers and have focused the upgrades where they count. Combined with low running costs and Holden's outstanding Capped Price Service offer, no other car on sale offers the combination of value, technology, safety and driving pleasure that customers will enjoy in the updated Model Year 15 VF Commodore range."
