Honda reveals Australian pricing for Super-ONE

Following its local preview earlier this year, and strong response to expressions of interest, Honda Australia has released pricing on their ‘Super-ONE’ city car. The first battery electric vehicle (BEV) Honda has offered in Australia, the Super-ONE will arrive in October.

Based on the JDM N-One kei car that dates back to 2012, the fully electric Super-ONE made its global debut last year. Power comes from a 47kW/162Nm electric motor on the front axle that can produce up to 70kW in Boost Mode. This mode (one of five available) also simulates the response of a seven-speed transmission, while an Active Sound Control system plays faux ICE noises in the cabin. The 29.6kWh lithium-ion battery provides a driving range of up to 253km, with 15-80 per cent charge possible in just 30 minutes with a 50kW charger.

While the N-One took styling inspiration from Honda’s classic N360 kei car, the Super-ONE taps into the City Turbo II (aka the ‘Bulldog’) from the 1980s for its design. This includes a widebody look with boxy wheelarch flares, a roof spoiler and bluff front end.

Only 130 units of the Super-ONE will reach Australian Honda Centres this year, but local allocation will ramp up in 2027. Pre-orders are open, with pricing at $36,900 drive away for the base grade. A ‘Two-Tone’ grade that adds Violet Boost paint and a black roof is $37,400 drive away. This local pricing is backed by Honda Australia’s five-year warranty with five-year roadside assist and five-year low-price servicing.
