HSV names rugby league great as ambassador
The current Melbourne Storm, Queensland and Australian Kangaroos captain, Smith joins a select band of HSV ambassadors that includes current ASP World Surfing champion, Joel Parkinson, freestyle motocross rider, Robbie Maddison and HRT and 3-time Bathurst winning race-driver, Garth Tander.
"We're excited that Cameron has chosen to join our team. His deeds on the rugby league field are obviously well known but what is most important to us is his passion for the HSV brand", said HSV's Director - Sales ' Marketing, Tim Jackson.
"From our very first meeting, the enthusiasm and excitement he showed for HSV was infectious and we knew he was the style of person we wanted to be involved with", Jackson said.
An avid HSV enthusiast, Smith's signing is timely given the recent release of the company's new GEN-F range including the most powerful performance production car ever to be built in Australia - the GTS.
"We see real parallels between Cameron and HSV. Like HSV, Cameron is a leader in his field with captaincy of his local, state and national team testament to both his character and his standing in the game", said Jackson.
As part of his official ambassadorial role, Smith will have an active involvement in a variety of HSV activities. Fans can expect to see him regularly communicating with them via HSV's social media forums while participation at an official HSV Drive Experience will see him formally "inducted" into the HSV family.
"I'm really excited to be part of the HSV team", said Smith. "I've been an HSV fan since I was a kid and to now have the chance to drive their cars and represent their brand is a huge buzz for me".
