HSV W427 supercar. May 08

Boasting a 7.0-litre, 370kW/640Nm engine, it canters to 0-100km/h in less than 5 seconds. It is the quickest and most powerful HSV car yet. The W427 is powered by the LS7 V8 engine used in the Chevrolet Corvette, complete with a dry-sump oil system, unique cold-air intake and an "active" exhaust system, which runs quiet at idle but opens to a bellowing roar at full throttle. The W427 was a standout at the Show with its dramatic front styling, carbon fibre rear spoiler and rides on 20-inch alloy wheels.
Estimated price of the limited edition (no word on exactly how limited, yet) W427 is $125,000.
