JUST CARS & COFFEE goes big in Brisbane
The eagerly awaited return of JUST CARS & COFFEE Brisbane after a couple of weather-related cancellations saw Café Elle at 67 Robinson Road East, Geebung, attract an amazing array of new, old and modified vehicles on the morning of Saturday, 10 May.
Despite rain in the lead-up to the event, and the threat of more on the day, cars came from as far away as Kingaroy, showing the passion for car shows in south-east Queensland.

Highlights amongst the vehicles on display included a posse of late-model BMW M3 sedans, a classic XY Falcon GT and HQ Monaro GTS, Citroën DS, a ‘Bandit’ Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, HDT VK Commodore, Audi R8, fourth-gen Corvette and first-gen Camaro, plenty of new Mustangs (including a tricked-out example from Driver Nation Australia) and not one, but two De Tomaso Panteras.

For JDM fans, there was a Toyota Corolla Levin with a bunch of mods under the bonnet, a Toyota 86 with Liberty Walk-style add-ons, modified AE70 Corolla sedan, a tasty lineup of custom Hondas, R32 and R33 Skylines, plus a rare and highly sought-after example of the original ‘Hakosuka’ Skyline GT-R.

Some of the more unusual cars on display included a Westfield SEight roadster displaying its Rover 3.9 V8, plus another clubman with a four-cylinder powerplant – both bold choices given the threat of rain! A rare 1948 Fargo pickup stood out with its patina exterior and butterfly bonnet that revealed a modern V8 powerplant. In the cabin, this Fargo (the Commonwealth market equivalent of a Dodge pickup) featured a digital dash, air con, stereo, aftermarket steering wheel and custom bench seat. A ’55 GMC pickup also stood out with its bright yellow paint, big rims and abundance of gleaming chrome.

Diecast Diehards, one of the new sponsors for JUST CARS & COFFEE Brisbane, presented a selection of their scale model stock (Matchbox, Hot Wheels, Classic Carlectables, etc.) to tempt buyers and collectors.
Of the 1:1 scale cars on show, there were a few with ‘For Sale’ notices, showing how JUST CARS & COFFEE Brisbane can be a great supplement to advertising with JUST CARS to reach an enthusiast audience of potential buyers.

Held on the last Saturday of each month, JUST CARS & COFFEE Brisbane welcomes all classic and collectable cars. The event is sponsored by The Plate Bracket Co., Diecast Diehards, Just Pro Tools and BGS Classic Cars. Look for JUST CARS & COFFEE on Facebook to get the latest news and dates for future events.
