KUC Daimler sells for $12,500
The previously-reported Daimler shown was donated by Norman Webster of NSW. A1964 model, the Daimler V8 was finished in burgundy with a cream leather interior and walnut dash fascia, good quality chrome and Maglite-style alloys.
Initially auctioned by Manheim auctions in Sydney on April 1, the Daimler was passed in, but a second auction on April 15 saw the Daimler sell for $12,500.
While this below Manheim's initial valuation of $15-20,000, the price achieved was still a good one, and will enable Kids Under Cover to provide the equivalent of approximately 125 months of mentoring support for young people, or almost a dozen year-long educational scholarships.
Supported by JUST AUTO's Auto Trader brand, Donate Your Car has seen more than two thousand cars gifted to the charity by generous Australians, which are then auctioned to raise vital funds to prevent youth homelessness around the country.
