Lamborghini celebrates milestone

Originally launched in January 2004 as a coupe, the Gallardo is now the most successful Lamborghini model ever sold in Australia. The record breaking 100th Gallardo is a metallic orange Spyder model purchased by New South Wales businessman Tony Prodanovski, who previously owned a coupe.

His brother James is also a Gallardo owner, a new Superleggera recently replacing a Murcielago. "The Gallardo has changed the face of Lamborghini in this country," Andrew Smith, managing director of Lamborghini in Australia said. "It's a very user friendly supercar, in fact remarkably practical as a day-to-day car, and we've seen a real shift with the Gallardo...many more buyers are using these as everyday cars.

"Originally a coupe, the Gallardo is now also very popular in Spyder form, and the new Super-leggera has further expanded its appeal." Lamborghini has recently confirmed that every 2008 model sold in Austraia will carry a three year unlimited kilometre warranty.
