Limited production of Shelby GT350 for 2015

Before production switches over to 2016-plated models, Ford will build 100 MY15 GT350s for the North American market, of which 50 will be equipped with the Mustang's Technology Package, with the other 50 fitted with the Track Package option.

Rare as the 2015 GT350s will be, the high performance GT350R will be rarer still. In tribute to the (alleged) 37 units of the original GT350R built by Carroll Shelby in 1965, the same quantity of the new GT350R will be built by Ford for 2015.

"Fans of the Shelby brand are among the most passionate in the automotive industry," said Henry Ford III, Ford Performance marketing manager. Referring to the limited MY15 run, Ford added: "These cars will be highly coveted by both Mustang and Shelby enthusiasts alike."

While no units from the limited 2015 run are planned for distribution to Australia, local Mustang specialists, Mustang Motorsport, have advised they can secure units to individual order of this future collectable.
