Mazda MX-5 25th Anniversary edition
Since being unveiled in April, the limited edition has attracted a lot of attention, with America and Japan's allocation already sold out. Only 1,000 units will be produced, with Australia to receive 40 examples (24 manuals, 16 automatics), which started to arrive from August 1.
Features on the limited edition include a unique, numbered 25th anniversary badge and the option of Soul Red metallic paint for the first time on an MX-5, as well as black painted A-pillars, door mirrors and retractable roof.
The interior features off-white leather upholstery and door trims, along with a black leather arm rest, steering wheel and gear shifter, highlighted with red stitching. A red dash panel and stainless steel scuff plates (with the 25th anniversary logo) are other unique features.
Each locally-delivered unit also comes with a branded his and hers Tourneau commemorative watch set. Each watch is made of surgical quality stainless steel, and has a genuine sapphire crystal face and a black leather strap with red stitching.
Local pricing for the MX-5 special edition is listed at $48,390 for the manual and $49,990 for the auto, excluding on-road costs.
