McLaren reveals Artura Spider ‘MCL39 Championship Edition’
On the eve of the 2026 FIA Formula 1 World Championship, McLaren unveiled a special edition of the Artura Spider to celebrate winning their tenth World Constructors’ Championship last year. The Artura Spider ‘MCL39 Championship Edition’ features a livery inspired by the MCL39 F1 cars driven by Oscar Piastri and World Drivers’ Champion Lando Norris in 2025, along with other bespoke details. Only ten units will be produced.

While chiefly acknowledging the 2025 Constructors’ title, the MCL39 Championship Edition also recognises McLaren’s F1 success more broadly. Each McLaren car to have achieved constructor honours for the team is rendered on the rear quarters. These images are combined with ten stars surrounding a ‘10’ numeral.
For the record, McLaren’s nine other World Constructors’ Championships were achieved in 1974, 1984, 1985, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1998 and 2024. Last year’s title moves McLaren ahead of Williams, who have nine Constructors’ Championships. Only Ferrari has more, at 16.

“McLaren is a brand that merges the excitement of Formula 1 racing with a curated experience that matches our clients’ distinctive lifestyles,” said Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer, Chief Commercial Officer, McLaren Automotive. “We want the connection our fans feel with our brand to extend beyond the emotional and into the tangible, by making it possible for them to be a part of McLaren history.”

Created by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), the carmaker’s in-house bespoke and customisation division, each Artura Spider MCL39 Championship Edition is finished in hand-painted MSO Bespoke Myan Orange and Onyx Black that’s designed to evoke the MCL39. The Stealth Badge Pack and optional Black Pack are added, while the sports exhaust for the Artura Spider’s twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 adds a Stealth Exhaust Finisher. Ten-spoke, 19-inch Dynamo lightweight forged alloy wheels are finished in Gloss Black, with the brake calipers painted McLaren Myan Orange with black McLaren logos.

Inside, extended carbon fibre door sill finishers are individually signed by Norris and Piastri on each car. Their race number and each grand prix they won in 2025 are added, along with more star motifs from the exterior. In the front luggage space, a ‘Custom Track Record Plaque’ is fitted, listing all the wins, poles and fastest race laps achieved by McLaren last season.

Interior trim applied by MSO Bespoke combines Performance Carbon Black Alcantara with Jet Black Nappa Leather. Piping in McLaren Vision Orange is added, while the seats feature ten stars and ‘10’ embroidered on the headrests in McLaren Orange. The steering wheel gains a 12 o’clock marker in Myan Orange. Finally, a Custom Casement Plaque on the centre console identifies this special edition.

While no pricing was provided for MCL39 Championship Edition, the Artura Spider carries an Australian list price of $470,260 before LCT and ORCs. Pricing is most likely moot anyway, as all ten units will have almost certainly been sold before they were publicly announced.
McLaren adds that each purchaser will also receive an exclusive collector’s keepsake from the F1 team with their car, plus “a tailored opportunity to experience the McLaren brand and the legacy of McLaren Racing’s 10th Constructors’ title”.
