Mercedes-Benz to unveil new S-Class at Motorclassica
With no Australian International Motor Show for the foreseeable future, Motorclassica and other similar events are becoming default motor shows for selected brands. Motorclassica already has Jaguar, Morgan and Caterham presenting new metal at the event, with select motorcycle marques part of the event, too.
"It is a great honour and we are delighted that Mercedes-Benz has chosen Motorclassica to unveil the all new S-Class to the Australian media, the automotive industry and the public" said Paul Mathers, RACV Motorclassica Event Director.
"I am very confident that the unveiling of Mercedes-Benz's newest and most technically advanced model will further strengthen the public interest in Motorclassica for 2013."
The all new Mercedes-Benz S-Class is an expression of automotive grandeur and luxury, embodying a classic, superior, cutting-edge saloon. The new S-Class combines world-leading operational and safety technologies and fuses them with the highest quality craftsmanship to create unrivalled elegance and functionality.
Acting as a technological spearhead for automotive development as a whole, the sophisticated design and technology of the new S-Class render it the best vehicle in the world.
"Motorclassica attracts vehicles at the pinnacle of design, and we can think of no better occasion to host the unveiling of the all new Mercedes-Benz S-Class in Australia" said Horst Von Sanden, Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz Cars Australia/Pacific.
"Motorclassica is a truly unique event within Australasia and presents the perfect opportunity for motoring enthusiasts to take pleasure in witnessing both the classic and contemporary Mercedes-Benz vehicles."
In addition to the concours that attracts some of the most prestigious classic cars from collections around the world, Motorclassica will also feature a Classic Motor Show, presentation of automotive memorabilia, collectables and prestige goods, as well as the impressive Tour Classica on-road display through the streets of Melbourne.
The prestigious festival of Motorclassica will be held in the Royal Exhibition Buildings in Carlton, Melbourne from Thursday, October 24, until Sunday, October 27.
Motorclassica is supported by the City of Melbourne and Victoria's premier motoring organisation, the RACV. Additional information is available at www.motorclassica.com.au
