Motorclassica wins Industry Award
Australia’s premier automotive collector and lifestyle show, Motorclassica, the Australian International Concours d’Elegance, won the prestigious award for their 2017 show ahead of Oz Comic-Con Sydney 2018, the Good Food & Wine Show Sydney 2018 and PAX Australia 2017.
This, the second EEAA award for Motorclassica, comes after Event Director Paul Mathers and his staff won the Best Show Team award in 2014.“This is a real surprise... what we have in common [with our fellow nominees] is that we bring communities together and that is a very special thing. On any day, of any year, any of these shows are the best in the country,” Mathers said in accepting the award.
“They say it takes a village to raise a child, and it takes a big village to bring Motorclassica together every year... and I am very proud to be able to stand at the helm.”
Now well-established as the country’s most-important annual automotive exhibition, Motorclassica will celebrate its 10th birthday this year and while themes and special celebrations to mark the anniversary of the Australian International Concours d’Elegance are yet to be revealed, the celebrations are expected to be big.
Motorclassica 2019 will be staged at Melbourne’s Royal Exhibition Building from 11 to 13 October. For more information go to: motorclassica.com.au
